237 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 13, 1990 BID: Four (4) Leafloader AMVAC Unit Price: $22,057.00 Total Amount: $88,228.00 BROWN EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. 10222 Airport Drive Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809 Bid was signed by Douglas Brown, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a ten per cent (100) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: Four (4) Tarco Big-T-Vac Leaf Loader Model TTL-4 95W Unit Price: $15,997.00 Total Amount: $63,988.00 It is noted that the following vendors have advised the Board that they decline to bid at this time: 1. Van-Kal Truck Equipment 10700 Red Arrow Highway Mattawan, Michigan 49071 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above bids were referred to the Street Department for review and recommendation. PUBLIC HEARING TABLED - USE OF UNAUTHORIZED TAXICAB - ROSELAND CAB COMPANY It is noted that on July 30, 1990, the Board accepted for Filing reports submitted by the Police Department concerning the unauthorized use of a taxicab by the Roseland Cab Company and also at that time ordered that Roseland Cab Company and the Police Department appear before the Board on this date to answer questions concerning this allegation. Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier advised at this time that it has been brought to the Board's attention that the vehicle in question has been inspected and has passed inspection. She therefore recommended that the Board table this matter until it can be determined whether Mr. Woods, of Roseland Cab Company, has secured the proper license for this vehicle.
