244, <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 13, 1990 <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Bond of Contractor for C.E. Stafford <br />Construction, Inc., be approved effective August 13, 1990. Upon <br />a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the recommendation was accepted and the bond approved. <br />FILING OF REVISED TAXICAB RATES - YELLOW CAB COMPANY OF SOUTH <br />BEND <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Michael A. Liss, President, Yellow <br />Cab Company of South Bend, 710 North Niles Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana, advised that effective September 1, 1990, the following <br />new rates will be in effect: <br />First 1/5th mile or fraction thereof: $ 2.25 <br />Each Additional 1/5th mile: $ .25 <br />Per mile for out of town trips: $ 1.25 <br />Per hour waiting time: $15.00 <br />No minimum charge in town and Roseland. <br />Small Package Delivery Rate: (including grocery stores & <br />laundromats): Meter rate - $ 3.50 minimum. <br />Special Rates: Notre Dame/St. Mary's to/from Airport/South <br />Shore/Amtrack: <br />1 passenger -meter rate <br />2-5 passengers - $5.00 per person. <br />Notre Dame Football Rate: To/from Airport/Bus/Train, Roseland <br />Hotels/Motels: <br />$7.00 per person - $11.00 minimum <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above revised <br />rates were accepted for filing as <br />submitted. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following <br />four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1.
