Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF REPORTS CONCERNING UNAUTHORIZED USE OF TAXICAB - <br />ROSELAND CAB COMPANY <br />Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier advised that pursuant to <br />ordinance requirements, reports concerning the unauthorized use <br />of a taxicab by the Roseland Cab Company that failed to meet <br />inspection requirements, are being submitted to the Board at this <br />time for filing. Ms. Manier noted that Roseland Cab Company will <br />be advised of this Board action and a Public Hearing date will be <br />arranged in order for Roseland Cab Company to appear before the <br />Board concerning this violation. Ms. Humphreys made a motion <br />that the reports as submitted by the Police Department be <br />accepted for filing and that Roseland Cab Company and Cpl. Terry <br />Allen of the South Bend Police Department be ordered to appear <br />before the Board on August 13, 1990 to answer questions. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />- OF CITY AWNING TO INSTALL CANOPY AT 3015 WESTERN AVENUE <br />(POWER BRAKE & SPRING SERVICE) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Hank Craft, Sales Representative, <br />City Awning of South Bend, 1835 South Franklin, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission to install a canopy at Power <br />Brake & Spring Service, 3015 Western Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana. Mr. Craft noted that the canopy will be installed eight <br />feet (8') six inches (6") from the sidewalk level to the bottom <br />of the canopy and the canopy will cover an existing two foot <br />(2') overhang. Mr. Craft also submitted with the request a <br />drawing of the canopy indicating dimensions and details. <br />- FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1014 CAMPEAU STREET <br />Mr. Rudolph McDougal, 1014 Campeau Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested that the parking space in front of his residence be <br />designated as a handicapped parking space. Mr. McDougal <br />advised that he is sixty-seven (67) years of age and <br />handicapped and that his mother, who is ninety (90) years of <br />age and has a lung problem, also resides with him at 1014 <br />Campeau Street. <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the above referred to requests <br />be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for <br />review and recommendation.
