168 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 21, 1990 <br />is recommending that the request be denied. The Bureau noted that <br />Birner Street has no parking on the south side of the Street on <br />which Mr. and Mrs. Rogers reside. Parking on the north side is not <br />accessible to the handicapped. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be <br />denied. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE HUEY STREET, FROM LINDEN TO SMITH, FOR <br />BLOCK PARTY - JUNE 10, 1990 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on May 14, 1990, and approval is <br />recommended. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be <br />accepted and the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, submitted <br />to the Board the following Contractor's and Excavation Bonds and <br />recommended approval and/or release as follows: <br />EXCAVATION <br />- Gary A. Lawson, d/b/a <br />Lookin' Good Construction Co. Release Effective 5/14/90 <br />CONTRACTOR'S <br />- Larson -Danielson Construction Approve Effective 5/21/90 <br />Company, Inc. of LaPorte, IN <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the above bonds were approved and/or released as indicated <br />above. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the following Sidewalk Sale Permit Application was <br />approved: <br />NAME: Erica's Needlework &Sewing Machines <br />ADDRESS: 1602 Mishawaka Avenue <br />DATES: June 21-22, 1990 <br />BY: Dennis Riedel <br />It is noted that the appropriate Indemnification and Hold Harmless <br />Agreement was signed and attached to the application. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1.
