159 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 7, 1990 <br />Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request of <br />the Knights of Columbus be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />Further, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request of the <br />Office of Community Affairs to conduct the World's Largest Garage <br />Sale be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, <br />recommended that the following Contractors and/or Excavation <br />Bonds be approved: <br />CONTRACTOR'S BONDS <br />- Todd W. Lentz, d/b/a <br />Todd W. Lentz Concrete Contractor Eff. 5/7/90 <br />- Tomlinson Construction, Inc. Eff. 5/7/90 <br />EXCAVATION BOND <br />- Grose Excavating, Inc. Eff. 5/7/90 <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and the bonds be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap - One (1) space <br />LOCATION: 709 E. Altgeld <br />REMARKS: Pursuant to request submitted <br />to the Board on April 23, 1990 <br />by Mr. Hans Ivarson <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: Stop Sign - 24" Stop <br />LOCATION: Huron & Lake Streets <br />REMARKS: "T" Intersection <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of twenty-three (23) properties cleaned from April 23, 1990 <br />to April 26, 1990, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller John D. Leisenring submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 8009 through Claim Docket No. 8251 and Voucher Nos. 372-399 <br />for the Bureau of Wastewater, Voucher Nos. 272-308 for the Bureau <br />of Sewers and Voucher No. 20 for the Bureau of Solid Waste were <br />submitted for approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the claims and vouchers were approved and the <br />reports as submitted were filed. <br />
