17 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 2. 1990 <br />Mr. Stevens noted that the street would need to be closed from <br />7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on those dates. He also noted that the <br />request is to accommodate the great amount of pedestrian traffic <br />which takes place between the course and the headquarters <br />building during events. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />request be referred to the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus for review and recommendation. Ms. Humphreys seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - PORTAGE REALTY'S GEORGETOWN NORTH <br />(SEWER/WATER) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the Title Sheet was approved and signed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of forty-four (44) properties cleaned from March 19, 1990 <br />to March 23, 1990, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the following Contractor's Bonds be approved: <br />Ronnie G. Perry Effective 4/2/90 <br />Tommie K. Davis <br />d/b/a Tom Davis Concrete Effective 4/1/90 <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the bonds be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance <br />accepted and filed: <br />1. Carl J. Reinke & Sons, Inc. <br />P.O. Box 3095 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />2. Delta Star Electric, Inc. <br />1125 South Walnut Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />for the following were <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, Employment and Training <br />Services, submitted a list containing ninety-nine (99) claims and <br />recommended approval. Additionally, Chief Deputy Controller John <br />D. Leisenring, submitted Claim Docket No. 6583 through Claim <br />Docket No. 6882 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by <br />Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the claims <br />were approved and the reports as submitted were filed. <br />QUESTIONS REGARDING THE STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR PROJECT/BOND ISSUE <br />In response to questions from the news media, Ms. Humphreys <br />outlined a rough schedule of events in regards to this matter. <br />She noted that bonds will be sold and closing will take place in <br />late April or early May and that the Board of Public Works will <br />be the Board taking bids for this project. <br />
