REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 5, 1990 <br />E <br />1 <br />Kenwood. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request be <br />referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for <br />review and a determination of whether or not the lot should be <br />retained by the City. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS OF CITY AWNING TO INSTALL CANOPIES AT: <br />- 1315 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET (KITTY KAT LOUNGE) <br />- 2210-2216 MISHAWAKA AVENUE ( B& E HOME IMPROVEMENTS) AND <br />REQUESTS OF CITY AWNING FOR WHICH BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS APPROVAL <br />IS NOT REQUIRED: <br />- 1008 W. SAMPLE STREET (DISCOUNT FURNITURE) <br />- 133 NORTH WILLIAM STREET (PORTAGE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the requests submitted on January 22, 1990 <br />by City Awning to erect canopies at 1315 South Michigan Street <br />and 2210-2216 Mishawaka Avenue and approval is recommended. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendations <br />be accepted and the requests be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus have reviewed the requests submitted to <br />the Board on January 22, 1990 by City Awning to erect canopies at <br />1008 West Sample Street and 133 North William Street and it has <br />been determined that the canopies to be installed will not <br />encroach onto public right-of-way. Therefore, no further action <br />by the Board of Public Works is required concerning these two (2) <br />requests. <br />APPROVE REOUEST OF SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH CONCERTS TO BE HELD AT THE MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM ON APRIL 26-27, 1990 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on January 22, 1990 and approval is <br />recommended. It is noted that the busses will park in the <br />Shoppers Park Free parking lot located downtown from 9:00 a.m. to <br />12:00 noon. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the request be approved.
