24:. <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 22, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 1990, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />There being no objections by members of the Board, the following <br />items were added to the agenda: <br />- Quotations for removal and replacement of tanks at the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />- Construction Contract and Escrow Agreement - Sludge <br />Equipment Storage Building Project <br />- Title Sheets <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the January 15, 1990, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - UP TO TWENTY (20) NEW VEHICLES FOR THE 1990 <br />POLICE VEHICLE FLEET <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bid was opened and publicly read: <br />GATES CHEVROLET CORPORATION <br />401 South Lafayette Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Bid was signed by Charles Lindzy, Fleet Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a ten per cent (100) <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: Twenty (20) 1990 Chevrolet Caprice 4 door <br />sedans, Model 1BL69, 11611WB. 350 V8 <br />Net <br />Price <br />Each: <br />$ 12,595.00 <br />Net <br />Price <br />Twenty Units: <br />$251,900.00 <br />Exceptions to Bid Specifications: <br />1. Spotlight L.H. - Unity 225 six inch halogen, <br />(independently fused) and is factory installed. <br />Note: <br />1. Final order receipt for 1990 Chevrolet Caprice <br />special orders is February 23, 1990. Any order <br />received after this date will be accepted on a <br />"will try" basis only. Copy of Chevrolet Adm. <br />Message 01-010, dated 1/9/90 attached to bid. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above bid was referred to the Police Department <br />for review and recommendation. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
