REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 2, 1.991 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 1991, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Mary H. Mueller. <br />CANCELLATION OF DECEMBER 23, 1991 BOARD MEETING <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that due to the upcoming Christmas <br />holiday, he would recommend that the regular Board of Public <br />Works meeting scheduled for December 23, 1991 be cancelled. <br />There were no objections by members of the Board. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to City of South Bend, <br />Indiana South Bend USARC Exchange Agreement was added to the <br />agenda. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on November 25, 1991, were approved. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - SOUTH BEND AVENUE SEWER LATERAL <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed <br />Quotations for the above referred to project: <br />HRP CONSTRUCTION, INC. <br />1216-18 West Washington Street <br />P.O. Box 266 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46624-0266 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Paul J. Fallon. <br />QUOTATION: $13,200.00 <br />SMALL, INC. <br />25190 State Road 4 <br />North Liberty, Indiana 46554 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Ronald N. Howell. <br />QUOTATION: $17,350.00 <br />DE WULF AND SONS <br />P.O. Box 792 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46624 <br />QUOTATION: $6,350.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above Quotations were referred to the <br />Engineering Department for review and recommendation. In <br />response to questions from the news media, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, <br />Director, Division of Engineering, advised that this project <br />entails the installation of a sewer lateral North of Charles <br />Street, which is between Edison and Ironwood. Mr. Littrell noted <br />a lateral will be constructed across the street to pick up <br />service on the other side.
