32 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 1991 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking - Notre Dame Home Games <br />LOCATION: 700 Block Peashway - north side <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS <br />CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SIDEWALKS AND CURBS PROJECT - WESTERN <br />AVENUE <br />r RELOCATED OLD CLEVELAND ROAD FROM U.S. 31 BYPASS TO MAYFLOWER <br />(SEWER/WATER/STREET) <br />MAYFLOWER ROAD - PHASE I (SEWER/WATER/STREET) <br />MAYFLOWER ROAD - PHASE II (SEWER/WATER/STREET) <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that Title Sheets for the above referred to <br />projects were being presented at this time for execution. Upon <br />motions made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and <br />carried, the Title Sheets for the Western Avenue project, <br />Mayflower Road Phase I and the Relocation of Old Cleveland Road <br />were approved and signed. Additionally, upon a motion made by <br />Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Title <br />Sheet for Mayflower Road Phase I Project was approved and signed. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: <br />BY: <br />ADDRESS: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: <br />WHOLESALE SURPLUS <br />Mr. Jack Ford <br />922 South Michigan Street <br />Furniture and home furnishings <br />Mrs. DeClercq further advised that favorable recommendations have <br />been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department <br />of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the <br />above application. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded <br />by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF BONDS OF CONTRACTOR <br />Mrs. DeClercq stated that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Bond of Contractor for Richard A. Guntle, <br />d/b/a Affordable Construction, 1013 South Ironwood Drive, South <br />Bend, Indiana, be released effective September 30, 1991 and the <br />Bond of Contractor for Gary Aust, 61168 State Road #15, Goshen, <br />Indiana, be released effective November 19, 1991. Mrs. DeClercq <br />made a motion that the recommendations be accepted and the bonds <br />be released. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists indicating the locations of one hundred eleven (111) <br />City -owned and miscellaneous properties cleaned by the Department <br />of Code Enforcement during the period September 9, 1991, to <br />September 20, 1991. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the lists <br />as submitted be accepted for filing. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, WDS of Northern Indiana, <br />submitted two (2) lists containing three hundred forty-eight <br />(348) claims and recommended approval.
