REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />AUGUST 19, 1991 <br />OF SAINT JOSEPH'S HIGH SCHOOL TO CONDUCT WALK-A-THON - <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 1991 <br />TO CLOSE THE 900 BLOCK OF SOUTH 36TH STREET, FROM MISHAWAKA <br />AVENUE TO VINE, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 31, <br />1991 <br />OF KIDS' KINGDOM TO CLOSE WALL STREET, FROM GREENLAWN <br />TO JUST WEST OF THE POTAWATOMI PARK DRIVE, IN CONJUNCTION <br />WITH CONSTRUCTION - SEPTEMBER 11-15, 1991 <br />TO CLOSE BELMONT STREET, FROM EDDY STREET TO SUNNYSIDE <br />AVENUE, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 31, 1991 <br />- TO CLOSE BROWNE LANE, FROM EDISON TO REXFORD, FOR <br />PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS STREET DANCE PARTY - SEPTEMBER <br />27, 1991 <br />- REQUEST OF A.B.A.T.E. OF INDIANA TO CONDUCT MOTORCYCLE RIDE <br />THROUGH SOUTH BEND FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY - SEPTEMBER 1, 1991 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable <br />recommendations concerning the above referred to requests which <br />were submitted to the Board on July 1, 1991, August 5, 1991, <br />and August 12, 1991. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion <br />that the requests be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following two (2) secondhand <br />dealers license applications have been received: <br />NAME: <br />BY: <br />ADDRESS: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: <br />NAME: <br />BY: <br />ADDRESS: <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: <br />God Cares Thrift Shop <br />Ozzie Ree McCollough <br />225 North Olive Street <br />Secondhand items <br />The Budget Outlet <br />David & Sharon Pietrzak <br />2309 Lincolnway West <br />Furniture, miscellaneous <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above <br />license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of licenses. <br />APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the following Sidewalk Sale Permit applications were <br />approved: <br />NAME: River Park Furniture, Inc. <br />ADDRESS: 2910 Mishawaka Avenue <br />DATES: August 24, 1991 <br />NAME: Bourdon & Bourdon Studios, Inc. <br />ADDRESS: 2929 Mishawaka Avenue <br />DATES: August 24, 1991 <br />
