25 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12, 1991 Club at 12:00 noon. Submitted with the request was a route of the ride and the intersections that will be in need of traffic control. - OF KIDS' KINGDOM TO CLOSE WALL STREET, FROM GREENLAWN TO WEST OF THE POTAWATOMI PARK DRIVE, DURING CONSTRUCTION - SEPTEMBER 11-15, 1991 Mr. John H. Boruff, General Coordinator, Kids' Kingdom, Potawatomi Creative Playground Project, Inc., 120 West LaSalle Avenue, Suite 500, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the construction of Kids' Kingdom multi -level wooden playground is scheduled for September 11-15, 1991 in Potawatomi Park. It has been determined that it would be to the advantage of the construction process to temporarily close Wall Street from Greenlawn to just west of the Potawatomi Park drive that runs through Potawatomi Park in the vicinity of the zoo. In essence, through traffic through the Park will be on the north park drive but not on the noted segment of Wall Street. APPROVE REQUEST OF WOODCOX BUILDING CONTRACTOR, INC. TO OCCUPY THE E/W ALLEY DIRECTLY SOUTH OF 702 NORTH MICHIGAN STREET FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) TO SIX (6) MONTHS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on July 29, 1991, and approval is - recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF RECOMMENDATION - REQUEST OF TO INSTALL TWO (2) AWNINGS AT 1603 SOUTH MAIN STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that the above referred to request, which was submitted to the Board on July 22, 1991, was reviewed by the necessary City departments and bureaus. At this time the Engineering Department advises that the canopies to be installed will not encroach into the public right-of-way and therefore no action by the Board of Public Works is necessary. For the record, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted for filing. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST OF IUSB TO CLOSE NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD, BETWEEN VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK AND 20TH STREET IN CONJUNCTION WITH 25TH ANNIVERSARY FESTIVITIES - AUGUST 30, 1991 On August 5, 1991, the Board received a request from IUSB to -close Northside Boulevard, between Veteran's Memorial Park and 20th Street, in conjunction with the University's 25th Anniversary festivities and the request was referred to the necessary City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. At this time, the Board has been advised that approval is recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were approved: 1.
