REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 29, 1991 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:34 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 1991, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski. Also present was Board member Katherine Humphreys <br />and Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier. Board Member Patricia E. <br />DeClercq was not in attendance. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on -July 22, 1991 were approved. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 31-1991 - TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO <br />HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, INC. <br />Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier and Ms. Hedy Robinson, <br />Department of Economic Development, advised that this Resolution <br />conveys to Habitat two (2) vacant parcels of property located at <br />the northeast corner of Bronson and Columbia for use by Habitat <br />for construction of housing. <br />-Therefore, Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the appropriate <br />Resolution which has been prepared be adopted. Mr. Leszczynski <br />seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution <br />No. 31-1991 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 31-1991 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY <br />OF ST.,JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend owns the following described <br />real property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana: <br />A parcel of land in the Southwest Quarter of Section <br />12, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, City of South <br />Bend, Portage Township, -St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />being Lots 6 and 7 of Birdsell Mfg. Co. Subdivision as <br />recorded in Book 1, Page 48 at the St. Joseph County <br />Recorder's office in South Bend, Indiana and described <br />as follows: <br />COMMENCING at an iron on the Northwest corner of Lot 9 <br />in Birdsell Mfg. Co.'s Subdivision and also being on <br />the East right-of-way line of Columbia Street; thence <br />South 0000010511 West (bearing assumed), 87.00 feet <br />-along said East right-of-way line to the Point of <br />Beginning; thence North 880211171' East, 134.70 feet to <br />the West right-of-way line of a 10.00 foot alley; <br />thence South 0000010511 West, 101.00 feet along said <br />West right-of-way line; thence South 88121'1711 West, <br />134.70 feet to the East right-of-way line of Columbia <br />Street; thence North 0000010511 East 101.00 feet along <br />said East right-of-way line to the Point of Beginning, <br />and containing 0.3123 acres, more or less, and is <br />subject to all easements, restrictions and or covenants <br />of record, more commonly known as 624-630 South <br />Columbia, South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, said real property was transferred to the Board of <br />Public Works of the City of South Bend pursuant to Resolution 991 <br />adopted April 26, 1991, by the south Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission; and <br />11 <br />
