<br />Mr. Leverman noted that the remaining five per cent (5%) is
<br />available for administrative costs and that each agency must
<br />provide matching funds from other sources or inkind
<br />contributions.
<br />Ms. Humphreys made a motion that Agreements with the above named
<br />agencies as submitted to the Board be approved and executed.
<br />Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CERTIFICATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION - REMODELING OF NEW
<br />EQUIPMENT SERVICES FACILITY - 1045 W. SAMPLE STREET
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that L.L. Geans & Sons, 56535 Magnetic
<br />Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, and The Troyer Group, Tnc., 415
<br />Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, Indiana, have submitted a Certificate
<br />of Substantial Completion for the above referred to project.
<br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the Certificate be accepted and
<br />approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - COMPUTERIZED SIGNALIZATION PROJECT
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Joe J. Bellina, III, Assistant
<br />Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, has submitted to the
<br />Board a Change Order for the above referred to project which
<br />increases the fiber count from four (4) to eight (8) at an
<br />increase of $88,075.20.
<br />In response to questions from the news media regarding this
<br />change, Mr. Leszczynski stated that after discussions with
<br />.advisors on this project it was decided that the number of cables
<br />should be increased to eight (8). This was not previously
<br />anticipated.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the Change Order be
<br />approved and executed. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which
<br />carried.

<br />Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the
<br />Board that the bids received on July 8, 1991, for the above
<br />referred to projects have been reviewed and at this time it is
<br />recommended that the low bid of Asbestos Services, Inc., 9028
<br />Hills Road, Baroda, Michigan, in the amount of $38,565.20 for the
<br />asbestos abatement and the low bid base bid plus alternates of
<br />Bradberry Brothers, Inc., 20061 Dice Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />in the amount of $109,584.00 be awarded.
<br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the bid of Asbestos
<br />Services, Inc. for asbestos abatement be awarded. Ms. Humphreys
<br />seconded the motion which carried. Additionally, Mrs. DeClercq
<br />made a motion that the bid of Bradberry Brothers, Inc., be
<br />awarded. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried.
