<br />-- OF WYEZ-FM TO OCCUPY PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR CHARITY
<br />PROMOTION - JULY 12, 19, AUGUST 2,9, 16, 1991
<br />Ms. Sandra Carr, Marketing Director, WYEZ, One Edison Centre,
<br />237 Edison Road, Suite 200, Mishawaka, Indiana, requested
<br />permission to allow WYEZ to set-up on either the northwest or
<br />the southwest corner of Main and Washington Streets, across
<br />from Teacher's Credit Union, for a charity promotion with the
<br />March of Dimes. The promotion, "Ice Cream Happy Hour," is a
<br />two (2) hour event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. which would
<br />take place on Fridays. During the two (2) hours, March of
<br />Dimes volunteers and WYEZ staff members serve free ice cream
<br />sundaes and accept donations. The set-up would include a six
<br />(6) foot table and a patio umbrella, the station mini -van and
<br />trailer. Ms. Carr stated that the they would like to bring
<br />the station van and trailer onto the sidewalk or have space
<br />allotted on the corner for the vehicle. The dates of the
<br />event are July 12, and 19, 1991 and August 2, 9 and 16, 1991.
<br />TO CLOSE SOUTH STREET, FROM LONGFELLOW TO SUNNYSIDE, FOR
<br />BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 3, 1991
<br />Ms. Bobbie B. Toth, 1404 East South Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, requested permission to close South Street, from
<br />Longfellow to Sunnyside, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on
<br />Saturday, August 3, 1991 (rain date August 4, 1991) for a
<br />neighborhood block party.
<br />- FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1116 NORTH ST.

<br />Ms. Barbara B. Drake, 1116 North St. Peter Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, requested that the parking space in front of
<br />her residence be designated as a handicapped parking space as
<br />her husband, Anthony, is handicapped.
<br />- OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER, INC. TO RESERVE PARKING SPACES
<br />ON BOTH SIDES OF 100 EAST WASHINGTON IN CONJUNCTION WITH 6TH
<br />ANNUAL RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION LUNCHEON AT
<br />MARRIOTT HOTEL - AUGUST 7, 1991
<br />Ms. Christine Neander, RSVP Coordinator, Community Resource
<br />Center, 914 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana, advised the
<br />Board that the Community Resource Center will hold its sixth
<br />annual Retired Senior Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on
<br />Wednesday, August 7, 1991 at the South Bend Marriott. As in
<br />the past two (2) years, they would like to reserve both sides
<br />of 100 East Washington Street for transportation vehicles.
<br />'They expect to have one (1) United Limo Charter and about
<br />five (five) to seven (7) vans as there are quite a few
<br />handicapped senior citizens volunteering in the program.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has
<br />recommended that the Bond of Contractor for S & S Store Design &
<br />Manufacturing Co., Inc., d/b/a James Kmitta, be approved
<br />effective July 1, 1991. Mr. Leszczynski therefore made a motion
<br />that the recommendation be accepted and the Bond be approved.
<br />Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried.
<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2)
<br />lists from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that
<br />ninety-nine (99) properties were cleaned from June 24, 1991 to
<br />June 27, 1991 and seventy-five (75) City-owned/Miscellaneous
<br />properties were cleaned from June 24, 1991 to June 29, 1991. Mr.
<br />Leszczynski therefore made a motion that the lists as submitted
<br />be filed. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried.
