<br />REQUEST OF ST. MARY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH TO CLOSE A
<br />PORTION OF ASSUMPTION DRIVE FOR ANNUAL PARISH FESTIVAL -
<br />AUGUST 18, 1991
<br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the request of St. Mary of
<br />the Assumption Church to close a portion of Assumption Drive
<br />in conjunction with their Parish festival as submitted on
<br />June 10, 1991 be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion
<br />Which carried.
<br />REQUEST OF OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS TO CONDUCT PARADE,
<br />BIKE RACE, BED RACE, ICE SCULPTURE, RUN AND SHUTTLE, IN
<br />CONJUNCTION WITH ETHNIC FESTIVAL - JUNE 29-30, 1991
<br />Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the request to conduct the
<br />above named various events in conjunction with the Ethnic
<br />Festival, said request submitted on June 3, 1991, be
<br />approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CIRCUS AND CARNIVAL LICENSE APPLICATION
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board.is in receipt of a
<br />Carnival .and Circus license application as submitted by Mr. Drew
<br />Leach, President, Potawatomi Zoological Society, Box 1764, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, to conduct a carnival at the Potawatomi Zoo, 500
<br />South Greenlawn Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, on Wednesday, June
<br />19, 1991, Thursday, June 20, 1991, Friday, June 21, 1991,
<br />Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, 1991. Mr. Leszczynski
<br />dlso advised that this application has been reviewed by the
<br />appropriate City departments and bureaus and approval is
<br />recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the
<br />application be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which
<br />carried.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has
<br />recommended that the Bond of Contractor for Electro Transfer
<br />Systems, Inc., 1916 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, be
<br />approved effective June 17, 1991. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bond be
<br />approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq
<br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was
<br />approved:
<br />1. REMOVAL: Handicap Parking Sign
<br />LOCATION: 1110 East Chalfant
<br />REMARKS: Resident, Mrs. Thelma Paskell, deceased.
<br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - CROSS CREEK - SECTION FOUR
<br />',SEWER/WATER/STREET)
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above
<br />referred to project was being presented at this time for
<br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was
<br />approved and signed.
<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS LISTS
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2)
<br />lists from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that
<br />sixty-six (66) properties were cleaned from June 3, 1991 to June
<br />6, 1991 and forty (40) City-owned/Miscellaneous properties were
<br />cleaned from June 3, 1991 to June 6, 1991. Mrs. DeClercq
<br />therefore made a motion that the lists as submitted be filed.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
