REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 3, 1991 <br />SHUTTLE: JUNE 29-30, 1991 12:00 Noon - 7:00 p.m. <br />The shuttle will operate between the <br />Festival, Coveleski Stadium and the <br />East Race <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above requests were referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF THE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION THAT THE BOARD OF <br />PUBLIC WORKS ACT AS AGENT FOR SMALL SCALE DEMOLITION AND <br />ASBESTOS ABATEMENT & SOLICIT BIDS - STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Ann E. Kolata, Director, <br />Redevelopment Commission, requested that the Board of Public <br />Works act as agent for the Redevelopment Commission in the matter <br />of small scale demolition and asbestos abatement in the <br />Studebaker Corridor. Ms. Kolata further requested that the Board <br />advertise for the receipt of bids for the asbestos abatement and <br />demolition in the Studebaker Corridor. Mrs. DeClercq made a <br />motion that the requests be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS FOR ONE (1) <br />1500 GPM COMBINATION PUMPER AND ELEVATING DEVICE WITH A <br />-TELESCOPING BOOM 65 FEET IN HEIGHT - FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor requested that <br />the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above <br />referred to equipment. Chief Taylor stated that this vehicle <br />will replace a unit now in service and that lease purchase <br />agreements, funded by the Emergency Medical Services Capital <br />Improvement Fund, will be the method used for payment. Mrs. <br />DeClercq made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. <br />Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />OF FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH TO CLOSE <br />ALLEY AND EAST/WEST ALLEY AROUND THE <br />WITH FUND-RAISER - JUNE 29, 1991 <br />E NORTH/SOUTH <br />IN CONJUNCTION <br />- OF LOCAL YOUTH DEPARTMENT I.B.P.O.E. OF W. TO CONDUCT MARCH - <br />JUNE 8, 1991 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests which were <br />submitted to the Board on May 20, 1991 and May 28, 1991, and <br />approved is recommended. Therefore, in separate motions, Mrs. <br />DeClercq moved that the recommendations be accepted and the <br />requests be approved-. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motions which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - HERMITAGE SOUTH ESTATES - SECTION 1 - <br />PART 2 (SEWER/WATER/STREET) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was <br />approved and signed. <br />AND/OR RELEASE C <br />AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the following bonds be approved and/or released <br />as indicated: <br />CONTRACTORS BOND <br />
