REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1991 <br />prepare the demolition specifications for public bid. Ms. <br />Humphreys made a motion that the request be approved. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF: Yield Sign <br />REVISED TO: Stop Sign (24x24) <br />LOCATION: Peashway and St. Louis <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the following Contractors and Excavation Bonds <br />be approved: <br />CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />- Robert N. Akens Approve Effective 5-13-91 <br />1209 Woodward <br />South Bend, IN <br />- Tim McLaughlin Approve Effective 5-13-91 <br />1501 Leer <br />South Bend, IN <br />EXCAVATION BOND <br />- Joe H. Anderson, d/b/a Approve Effective 5-13-91 <br />Anderson Backhoe <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendations <br />be accepted and the bonds be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted and filed: <br />1. Doyle Signs, Inc. <br />232 Interstate Road <br />Addison, IL 60101 <br />2. Michiana Paving & Excavating <br />705 South Beiger Street <br />Mishawaka, IN 46544 <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted a list containing thirty-three (33) miscellaneous <br />lots cleaned from April 29, 1991 to May 3, 1991 and a list <br />containing thirty-one (31) City owned/miscellaneous lots cleaned <br />from April 29, 1991 to May 3, 1991. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion <br />that the lists as submitted be accepted and filed. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY SERVICE REPORT - APRIL <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of the <br />Monthly Service Report for the month of April as submitted by the <br />Humane Society of St. Joseph County, IN, Inc. indicating the <br />number and types of animals handled for the City of South Bend. <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the report as submitted be <br />accepted and filed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />
