REGULAR MEETING MAY 6, 1991 <br />Further advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus <br />have reviewed this request and approval is recommended. It is <br />noted that the City Attorney's office has determined that an <br />Easement will be required in this situation as the canopy will be <br />a permanent part of the Union Station structure and will encroach <br />into the public right-of-way. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a <br />■ motion that the request be approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for Kaser-Spraker <br />Construction, Inc., P.O. Box 3605, South Bend, Indiana and <br />Parking Properties, Inc., d/b/a Coyne-Kangesser Parking Co. <br />1401 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114 were accepted and <br />filed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that <br />thirty-seven (37) properties were cleaned from April 22, 1991 to <br />April 25, 1991 and that eleven (11) City Owned/Miscellaneous <br />properties were cleaned from April 22, 1991 to April 25, 1991. <br />Mrs. DeClercq therefore made a motion that the lists as submitted <br />be filed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy City Controller John D. Leisenring, submitted Claim <br />Docket No. 5091 through Claim Docket No. 5149 and recommended <br />Approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the claims were approved and the report <br />filed. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR: <br />QUESTIONS REGARDING BOWMAN CREEK FLOODING <br />Mr. Leszczynski responded to questions from the news media <br />concerning Councilman Bill Soderberg's previous comments about <br />the flooding of Bowman Creek, the impact of the ponds behind the <br />AM General Plant on the flooding and the building of retention <br />basins in the county to eliminate flooding. Mr. Leszczynski <br />noted that building retention basins in the county will not <br />totally prevent the flooding but may lessen the impact. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:47 a.m. <br />�;Jn E.
