REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 22, 1991 <br />1 <br />REQUEST OF PARK DEPARTMENT TO CLOSE NILES AVENUE, FROM <br />WASHINGTON TO COLFAX, IN CONJUNCTION WITH RACES - APRIL 27-28, <br />1991 <br />Mr. Karl Stevens, Superintendent, Department of Public Parks, <br />requested that Niles Avenue, between Washington and Colfax, be <br />closed on Saturday, April 27, 1991 and Sunday, April 28, 1991 <br />from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with races that will <br />be held on the East Race. <br />Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the above two (2) requests be <br />approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that <br />fourteen (14) properties were cleaned from April 8, 1991 to April <br />12, 1991 and that fourteen (14) City Owned/Miscellaneous <br />properties were cleaned from April 8, 1991 to April 11, 1991. <br />Mrs. DeClercq therefore made a motion that the lists as submitted <br />be filed. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS/EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mrs. DeClercq advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Mike Vrielynck be <br />approved effective April 22, 1991 and that the Excavation Bond <br />for Abe's Free Flow Drain & Sewer Cleaner, 524 Lincoinway West, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana, be released effective April 10, 1992. Mrs. <br />DeClercq therefore made a motion that the recommendations be <br />accepted and the bonds be approved and/or released as indicated <br />above. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for William A. Geyer & <br />David L. Geyer, d/b/a Geyer Construction & Development Company, <br />P.O. Box 229, Lakeville, Indiana, was accepted and filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy City Controller John D. Leisenring, submitted Claim <br />Docket No. 4307 through Claim Docket No. 4521 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. <br />DeClercq and carried, the claims were approved and the report <br />filed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:46 a.m. <br />ATT �ST : <br />Sandra M.
