122 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 15, 1991 <br />REQUEST OF C.E. STAFFORD CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO UTILIZE PORTION OF <br />CITY PARKING LOT IN CONJUNCTION WITH REPAIR WORK OF BUILDING AT <br />125 LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD - REFERRED <br />Mr. Charles E. Stafford, President, C.E. Stafford Construction, <br />Inc., 111 South Cherry Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested <br />permission to use a five foot (51) by fifty foot (501) working <br />area strip in the City parking lot which is along the north <br />exterior wall of the Law Building located at 125 Lafayette <br />Boulevard. <br />Mr. Stafford advised that he will need to utilize space along the <br />building until his job is completed which would be sixty (60) <br />working days beginning April 16, 1991. Mr. Stafford noted that <br />he will be working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the week <br />and weekends and that City vehicles parked along the north side <br />of the building will need to be relocated during construction. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to <br />the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF MICHIANA WATERSHED TO CONDUCT ANNUAL RIVER l <br />- MAY 11, 1991 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on November 13, 1990 to conduct the 1991 <br />St. Joseph River Run on Saturday, May 11, 1991 and approval is <br />recommended. Mr. Leszczynski made a :notion that the <br />recommendations be accepted and the request be approved. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license application has been received: <br />1. CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BUREAU OF SOLID WASTE <br />3113 Riverside Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been <br />conducted and were found to be in compliance. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - I/N KOTE SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT: <br />- PHASE I - LIFT STATIONS <br />- PHASE II - SANITARY SEWER PIPING <br />- PHASE III - SANITARY SEWER PIPING <br />- PHASE IV - SANITARY SEWER PIPING <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Title Sheets for the above referred <br />to project were being presented at this time for execution. Upon <br />a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the above referred to Title Sheets were approved and <br />signed. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BOND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has <br />recommended that the Board approve the Contactor's Bond for <br />Shamrock Development, Inc., 404 South Columbia Street, Suite 150, <br />P.O. Box 1152, South Bend, Indiana, effective April 15, 1991. <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and the bond be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />
