REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 1, 1991 <br />1 <br />1 <br />KASER-8PRAKER CONSTRUCTION, INC. <br />25487 West State Road 2 <br />P_.O. Box 3605 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Gary L. Spraker, President, Non - <br />Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment Form was completed and a five per cent (5a) <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: <br />Bid Package #2: <br />$ 58,000.00 <br />PROCARE SERVICES <br />2001 Clover Road <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Steven J. Solliday, President, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Nor. -Discrimination <br />Commitment Form was completed and a Treasurer's Check in <br />the amount of $2,500.00 was submitted. <br />Bid Package #3: $ 41,904.00 <br />Bid Package #3 - Alternate #1: $ 2,704.00 <br />Bid Packages #3 and #3A: $ 44,608.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division. of <br />Environmental Services for review and recommendation. <br />HEARING AND FAVORABLE <br />TION - ALLEY VACATION: 1ST <br />N/S ALLEY E. OF FRANCES STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />Board's Public Hearing on a proposed alley vacation described as <br />follows: <br />The first north/south alley east of Frances Street <br />running south from Cedar Street for a distance of <br />approximately 102.65 feet to the south right-of-way <br />line of the first east/west alley south of Cedar <br />Street, all in Hull's Subdivision. <br />It was noted that this Public Hearing is being held in order for <br />the Board to submit a recommendation to the Common Council <br />concerning the Vacation Petition filed by Mr. Christopher J. <br />Matteo, Taripp Development Corporation, 807 East Jefferson <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. It was further noted that <br />pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code Section 18-53.8, owners <br />whose property abut the proposed alley to be vacated as well as <br />those property owners within one hundred fifty feet (1501) of the <br />alley to be vacated were notified of the Board's Public Hearing <br />date. <br />Mr. Christopher J. Matteo, Taripp Development Corporation, 807 <br />East Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, Petitioner, was <br />present and addressed the Board. Mr. Matteo indicated that the <br />purpose of the vacation is to allow construction of Phase II of <br />the Lafayette Square Townhomes, a condominium project. <br />There being no one else present wishing to speak either for or <br />against the proposed alley vacation, and no written objections <br />having been filed with the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Public <br />Hearing on this matter was closed. <br />
