62 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 25, 1991 <br />City's purchase of IBM computer equipment. Mr. Leszczynski noted <br />that these types of Agreements continue to be submitted to the <br />Board as equipment is brought on-line. The Financing Agreement <br />indicates Other IBM Charges Services for an amount financed of <br />$28,988.89. Upon a motion made biz Ms. Humphreys, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Agreements as submitted were <br />approved and executed. <br />REQUEST OF THE NORTHERN INDIANA CHAPTER MARCH OF DIMES TO CONDUCT <br />21ST ANNUAL WALK AMERICA - APRIL 27, 1991 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Diana M. Dolde, March of Dimes <br />Birth Defects Foundation, Northern Indiana Chapter, 833 Northside <br />Boulevard, P.O. Box 23, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the <br />Northern Indiana Chapter of March of Dimes Birth Defects <br />Foundation is requesting permission to conduct the 21st Annual <br />WalkAmerica on Saturday, April 27, 1991. Submitted with the <br />request was a route which has been utilized in the past. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion_ that the request be referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY <br />ORCHESTRA ASSOCIATION FOR ASSISTANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOUTH <br />CONCERTS TO BE HELD AT THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM - APRIL 18-19, <br />1991 - REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a letter <br />from Ms. Milana Tomec, Transportation Committee, Women's <br />Association of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra Association, <br />50650 Tarrington Way, Granger, Indiana. Ms. Tomec stated that <br />she is writing on behalf of the South Bend Symphony Youth <br />Concerts Program to request the assistance of the Police <br />Department in directing and parking buses and moving students to <br />and from the Morris Civic Auditorium. Ms. Tomec noted that area <br />grade school children have been invited to attend the concerts <br />which will be held on Thursday, April 18, 1991 and Friday, April <br />19, 1991 at 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Because the Century Center <br />Parking Lot and the Shoppers Park Free lot are not available on <br />these dates for the parking of buses, Ms. Tomec noted that <br />pursuant to the recommendation of Police Department Lt. Larry <br />Blume, the buses will be parked on Colfax, east and west sides, <br />between Michigan and William Street. It is further noted that <br />approximately seven thousand six hundred (7,600) students will be <br />attending the concerts averaging one thousand nine hundred <br />(1,900) per concert with a maximum of thirty-eight (38) buses and <br />an average of twenty-six (26) private cars attending each <br />performance. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the <br />necessary City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Blacketor, President, Encore <br />Advertising, Inc., 120 West LaSalle Avenue, Suite 100, South <br />Bend, Indiana, advising that MEANWHILE... the new 3-in-1 <br />entertainment complex located at 222 South Michigan Street (the <br />former J.C.
