REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 18, 1991 APPROVE PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TRANSWESTERN BUILDING DEMOLITION Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on January 14, 1991, to Warner & Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 87, 29099 U.S. 33 West, Elkhart, Indiana, in the amount of $873,456.00 for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - RIVER CROSSING NO. 1 & CSO 422 Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board was a Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services as submitted by Lawson -Fisher Associates, 525 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana, in regards to the improvements to be constructed for River Crossing No. 1 and CSO No. 22. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Agreements as submitted were approved and executed. APPROVE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT - PARKING GARAGE EQUIPMENT Mr. Leszczynski informed the Board that Mr. Terry Coleman, Department of Administration and Finance, submitted to the Board a Maintenance Agreement with Cincinnati Time Recorder Distributor, 105 54th Street, S.W., Grand Rapids, Michigan, who will provide maintenance coverage for the new operations equipment in the three (3) municipally owned parking garages whose warranty coverage has recently expired. The cost of this maintenance coverage is $6,500.00. Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Agreement as submitted was approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 7-1991 - RENEWAL OF SCRAP METAL/JUNK DEALERS/TRANSFER STATION LICENSES FOR 1991 Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, advised that inspections have been made by the Department of Code enforcement and the Fire Department Prevention Bureau of all sixteen (16) applicants who submitted renewal applications for the operation of scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer station operations and all were found to be in compliance. Mrs. DeClercq recommended that the Board approve these applications and therefore made a motion that the Board send the appropriate Resolution to the Common Council for their consideration and adopt Resolution No. 7-1991 as submitted to the Board today. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried and the following was adopted: BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS RESOLUTION NO. 7-1991 WHEREAS, scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer stations license renewal applications for the year 1991 have been received by the Board of Public Works; and WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and
