REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 18, 1991 <br />APPROVE PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TRANSWESTERN <br />BUILDING DEMOLITION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded <br />on January 14, 1991, to Warner & Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 87, 29099 <br />U.S. 33 West, Elkhart, Indiana, in the amount of $873,456.00 for <br />the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was <br />being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Contract <br />was approved and the appropriate Insurance, Performance Bond and <br />Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - RIVER CROSSING NO. <br />1 & CSO 422 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board was a <br />Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for <br />Professional Services as submitted by Lawson -Fisher Associates, <br />525 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana, in regards to <br />the improvements to be constructed for River Crossing No. 1 and <br />CSO No. 22. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Agreements as submitted were <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT - PARKING GARAGE EQUIPMENT <br />Mr. Leszczynski informed the Board that Mr. Terry Coleman, <br />Department of Administration and Finance, submitted to the Board <br />a Maintenance Agreement with Cincinnati Time Recorder <br />Distributor, 105 54th Street, S.W., Grand Rapids, Michigan, who <br />will provide maintenance coverage for the new operations <br />equipment in the three (3) municipally owned parking garages <br />whose warranty coverage has recently expired. The cost of this <br />maintenance coverage is $6,500.00. Upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the Agreement <br />as submitted was approved. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 7-1991 - RENEWAL OF SCRAP METAL/JUNK <br />DEALERS/TRANSFER STATION LICENSES FOR 1991 <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, advised that inspections have been made by the <br />Department of Code enforcement and the Fire Department Prevention <br />Bureau of all sixteen (16) applicants who submitted renewal <br />applications for the operation of scrap metal/junk <br />dealers/transfer station operations and all were found to be in <br />compliance. <br />Mrs. DeClercq recommended that the Board approve these <br />applications and therefore made a motion that the Board send the <br />appropriate Resolution to the Common Council for their <br />consideration and adopt Resolution No. 7-1991 as submitted to the <br />Board today. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried <br />and the following was adopted: <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7-1991 <br />WHEREAS, scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer stations license <br />renewal applications for the year 1991 have been received by the <br />Board of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed <br />by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention <br />Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the <br />Municipal Code; and <br />
