MMW <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 28, 1991 <br />the list be accepted for filing and the request of G.B.R. <br />Investments for placement on the list be filed. Mrs. DeClercq <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS FOR ONE (1) <br />CAB AND CHASSIS GVW 62,000 LBS. AND ONE (1) ROLL OFF HOIST <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, <br />Department of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for <br />the receipt of bids for one (1) cab and chassis with a gross <br />vehicle weight of 62,000 lbs. and one (1) roll off hoist capable <br />of lifting a capacity of 60,000 pounds at a dump angle of <br />forty-eight (48) to fifty (50) degrees. This hoist will be <br />mounted on the above mentioned cab and chassis. <br />Mr. Kruszynski further advised that this vehicle will be used by <br />the Department of Sanitation to haul 15 yard and 30 yard roll <br />boxes from various City owned sites throughout the City to the <br />landfill on a daily basis. This bid reflects additional <br />equipment being added to the fleet and will not show a trade-in. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be <br />approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - TWO <br />(2) 10,000 GALLON UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS FOR UNLEADED AND <br />DIESEL FUEL, REMOVAL OF OLD TANKS, INSTALLATION OF NEW TANKS AND <br />INSTALLATION OF GAS BOY FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM <br />In a letter to the Board Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, <br />Department of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for <br />th receipt of bids for two (2) 10,000 gallon underground storage <br />tanks. These tanks will be used to store unleaded gasoline and <br />diesel fuel needed to operate their fleet. <br />In addition to providing the two (2) tanks, this bid will also <br />include the removal of old tanks, installation of new tanks and <br />the installation of the "Gas Boy" fuel monitoring system. The <br />"Gas Boy" system will be compatible with the new HTE vehicle <br />maintenance program. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />request be approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />DENY REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 622 SOUTH RUSH <br />STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the request submitted to the Board on <br />September 4, 1990 to purchase the City -owned property at 622 <br />South Rush Street. <br />At this time, the Department of Economic Development has <br />recommended that this property not be sold as it is in the Monroe <br />Park portion of the South Bend Central Development Area and they <br />would like the City to continue to hold the property for future <br />infill housing. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the <br />recommendation of the Department of Economic Development be <br />accepted and approved and the request be denied. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF: Handicap Parking spaces at <br />1128 East Bowman and 718 North <br />Allen <br />
