REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 26, 1992 APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were approved: 1. REMOVAL OF: 2 HOUR PARKING 6 A.M. TO 6 P.M. REVISED TO: NO PARKING 6 A.M. TO 6 P.M. LOCATION: 1005 LA SALLE (NORTH SIDE) REMARKS: Because of the construction at the South Bend Clinic there is congestion at Eddy and LaSalle when a car is parking there during peak hours. 2. STREET CLOSURE: HARTZER AT BENDIX REMARKS: Per agreement with the South Shore 3. NEW INSTALLATION: NO PARKING - TEMPORARY LOCATION: Dunham - Walnut to Arnold Webster - Dunham to Sample Scott - Ewing to Donald Donald - Kendall to Taylor Both sides of the street will be posted "No Parking" 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 28, 1992 (Wednesday) for the filming of the movie "Rudy." APPROVE STANDARD FORM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME Mr. Leszczynski advised that a Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager, has been submitted by Verkler Incorporated, P.O. Box 3608, 4406 Technology Drive, South Bend, Indiana, in regards.to the College Football Hall of Fame. It is noted that the National Collegiate Football Hall of Fame is to be located on Washington Street between St. Joseph and Michigan Streets in downtown South Bend. The project is to include 50,000 gross square feet of building with plaza and site design. Also included is the connecting tunnel between the Hall of Fame and Century Center, all as defined, described and set out in the Revised College Football Hall of Fame Proposal dated May, 1992, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement. It is further noted that Gerard Hilferty and Associates, 14240 Route 550, Athens, Ohio and The Troyer Group, Inc., 415 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, Indiana, are the architects on this project. The lump sum management fee for this project is $230,000.00 and general conditions and construction services fees of not to exceed reimbursables of $297,400.00. Mrs. Mueller advised that, for the record, the execution and approval of this Agreement is subject to the sale of bonds by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that this Agreement be approved and executed, subject to the sale of bonds as indicated above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
