REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 31, 1992 <br />BEND COMMON COUNCIL DETERMINING, AFTER INVESTIGATION, THAT THE <br />LEASE OF OFFICE SPACE AT 205 WEST JEFFERSON BOULEVARD, SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT <br />OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, DIVISION OF PLANNING AND NEIGHBORHOOD <br />DEVELOPMENT, IS NEEDED wherein the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, determined the lease of the premises is <br />necessary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That Resolution 30-1992 adopted by the Board on August <br />10, 1992,'with respect to the lease of the'premises is in all <br />respects ratified and confirmed. <br />2. That the rental to be paid pursuant to the lease is fair <br />and reasonable. <br />3. The Board hereby modifies the lease proposed to and filed <br />with the Board on August 10, 1992, as indicated in the Lease <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein, and authorizes the <br />execution of the Lease, as modified, and any and all documents <br />necessary to give effect to the lease and the intent of this <br />resolution. <br />4. Pursuant to I:C. 36-1-10-13, the Clerk of the Board is <br />instructed to give notice of the execution of the Lease by <br />publication in the South Bend Tribune and Tri-County News, <br />newspapers of general circulation, published in the City of South <br />Bend, with notice to be published one (1) time, within thirty <br />(30) days of this date. <br />Adopted on the 31st day of August, 1992, by the Board of <br />Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John Leszczynski <br />s/James R. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NOS. 32-33-1992 - DISPOSAL OF SERVICES REVOLVERS <br />(POLICE DEPARTMENT) <br />Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak advised the Board that Corporal <br />Leonard Sieradzki has retired, in good standing, from the South <br />Bend Police Department effective August 9, 1992, after thirty <br />(30) years of service. <br />Additionally, Lieutenant Raymond Woodward, has retired in good <br />standing from the Police Department effective July 26, 1992, <br />after thirty (30) years of service. <br />In keeping with Section 2-124 of the South Bend Municipal Code, <br />Chief Marciniak requested that the Board declare these officers <br />service revolvers as surplus property and no longer useful to the <br />City. This declaration authorizes the presentation of the <br />firearms to the officers as a tribute for their service to the <br />City. <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the appropriate <br />Resolutions which have been prepared, be adopted. Mrs. Mueller <br />seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution <br />Nos. 32-1992 and 33-1992 were adopted: <br />
