Lusk, President. <br />l � We <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of <br />Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING/ADOPT CONFIRMING RESOLUTION NO. 31-1992/APPROVE <br />LEASE OF OFFICE SPACE AT SUITE 416 205 WEST JEFFERSON BOULEVARD <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />Board's Public Hearing in order to receive and hear comments from <br />all persons interested in or affected by the lease of office <br />space at 205 West Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 416, for the use and <br />benefit of the City of South Bend, Department of Economic <br />Development, Division of Planning and Neighborhood Development. <br />Ms. Jenny Pitts Manier, Chief Assistant City Attorney, was <br />present and advised the Board that she is the Attorney for the <br />Department of Economic Development. She stated that the Board <br />will recall that an Office Building Lease was Filed with the <br />Board on August 10, 1992 and at that time the Board expressed its <br />intent to lease space at the First Bank Building for the benefit <br />of the Department of Economic Development. Ms. Manier noted that <br />the South Bend Common Council has found that the lease of the <br />space is necessary. She therefore asked that the Board confirm <br />and execute the Lease which has been modified pursuant to <br />
