REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 20, 1992 <br />Petition to vacate the following alley: <br />The first east -west alley north of East South Street <br />from the east right-of-way line of South Rush Street <br />to the southwest right-of-way line of Lincolnway East <br />for a distance of approximately 247.06 feet and a <br />width of approximately 12.54 feet. Part situated in <br />John Rush's First Addition in the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />It is noted that the Petition is signed by Ms. Ann E. Kolata, <br />Director, Department of Economic Development, 1200 County -City <br />Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, per <br />authority of July 7, 1992 of the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Authority. <br />Mr. Leszczynski informed members that the Board has received <br />favorable recommendations concerning this vacation petition from <br />the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, <br />Division of Engineering and the Department of Economic <br />Development, subject to easements and utilities. <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Board forward to <br />the Common Council a favorable recommendation concerning this <br />proposed vacation. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - SANITATION GARAGE EXPANSION AND RENOVATION <br />PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. Mueller and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was <br />approved and signed. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF: Handicap <br />LOCATION: 1630 North Huey <br />REMARKS: Mr. Vernell Deadman has moved. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Board is in receipt of two (2) <br />lists as submitted by the Department of Code Enforcement <br />indicating that forty-eight (48) miscellaneous properties were <br />cleaned by the Department from July 6, 1992 to July 9, 1992. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the lists be accepted for <br />filing. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Deputy Controllers Office has <br />submitted claims in the amounts of $2,340,993.12 and $618,417.69 <br />and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, Mr. Juan A. Manigault, Executive Director, WDS of <br />Northern Indiana, submitted two (2) lists in the amounts of <br />$38,472.67 and $37,063.59 for two hundred forty-three (243) <br />claims and recommended approval. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a <br />motion that the claims be approved and the lists be filed. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the notion which carried. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
