<br />Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Certificate be approved and
<br />executed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE_ CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT
<br />AREA AVANTI BUILDING - BID PACKAGE #1 - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated,that in accordance -with the bid awarded on
<br />June 8, 1992 to Asbestos Services, Inc., 9028 Hills Road, P.O.
<br />Box 141, Baroda, MI, in the amount of $24,337.00 for the above
<br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being
<br />submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs.
<br />Mueller, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Contract
<br />was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance,
<br />Performance Bond and Payment Bond as submitted were filed.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SANITATION
<br />GARAGE PROJECT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager,
<br />Department of Sanitation, requested that the Board advertise for
<br />the receipt of bids for the Sanitation Garage Expansion and
<br />Renovation project. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the
<br />request be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which
<br />carried.

<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller
<br />and carried, the following requests were referred to the
<br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and
<br />recommendation:

<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Peggy Anson, Branch 330 Editor,
<br />1992 MDA Chairperson, National Association of Letter
<br />Carriers, P.O. Box 681, South Bend, Indiana, requested
<br />permission on behalf of local Branch ff330, to conduct their
<br />annual Muscular Dystrophy Roadblock on Sunday, August 2, 1992
<br />from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the intersections of Ireland
<br />and Miami, Twyckenham and Lincolnway and at Ironwood and
<br />Edison.
<br />- TO CLOSE MONRO_E STREET, FROM SUNNYSIDE TO TWYCKENHAM, FOR
<br />BLOCK PARTY - JULY 25 1992
<br />Ms. Sharon Konopa, 1346 East Monroe Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, on behalf of the Monroe Street Block Party
<br />Committee, submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of
<br />And Blocking Of Access to Public Right -Of -Way For A Party Or
<br />Similar Event, requesting that Monroe Street, from Sunnyside
<br />to Twyckenham, be closed on Saturday, July 25, 1992 from
<br />12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. for a block party.
<br />- TO CLOSE ACADEMY PLACE, FROM RIVERSIDE DRIVE TO INGLEWOOD,
<br />FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 16, 1992
<br />Ms. Suzanne Gibbons, 1238 Academy Place, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking
<br />Of Access to Public Right -Of -Way For A Party Or Similar
<br />Event, requesting that Academy Place, from Riverside Drive to
<br />Inglewood, be closed on Saturday, August 16, 1992 from 3:00
<br />p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a neighborhood block party.
