Jelinski, 1232 North Kaley Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, Committee Member on behalf of the Residents of the <br />1100, 1200 and 1300 blocks of North Kaley Street, submitted <br />to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking Of Access <br />to Public Right -Of -Way For,A Party Or Similar Event, <br />requesting that Kaley Street, from Humbolt to Calhoun, be <br />closed on Saturday, August 1, 1992 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 <br />p.m. for a block party. <br />- OF PARK DEPARTMENT TO CLOSE NILES AVENUE, BETWEEN WASH <br />AND CEDAR, IN CONJUNCTION WITH GUS MACKER TOURNAMENT - <br />SEPTEMBER 1.8-19-20, 1992 <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Karl Stevens, <br />Superintendent, Department of Public Parks, requested that <br />Niles Avenue, between Washington and Cedar Street, be closed <br />from September 18-20, 1992 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in <br />conjunction with the Gus Macker Tournament. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST E/W ALLEY NORTH OF <br />EAST COLFAX <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board has received a Vacation <br />Petition as submitted by Mr. Eugene Ladewski, Medical Arts <br />Corporation of South Bend, P.O. Box 1755, South Bend, Indiana, <br />naming as Contact persons Valley Engineering Consultants, Inc., <br />14887 State Road 23, Granger, Indiana and Mr. Richard Morgan, <br />Attorney at Law, Barnes & Thornburg, 600 1st Source Bank Center, <br />100 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the <br />following public right-of-way: <br />The first east/west alley North of East Colfax <br />Avenue (U.S. 20) from the west right-of-way line <br />of North Frances Street to the East right-of-way <br />line of Edmond Court for a distance of approximately <br />165 feet and a width of approximately 10 feet. Part <br />situated in Cottrell's First Addition in the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mr. Leszczynski informed members of the Board that this Vacation <br />Petition has been reviewed by various departments and bureaus and <br />the Police Department, Fire Department, Division of Engineering, <br />Division of Sanitation and the Area Plan Commission recommend <br />approval. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Board forward <br />to the Common Council a favorable recommendation concerning this <br />proposed vacation. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST E/W ALLEY NORTH OF <br />EAST ECKMAN <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Board is in receipt of a <br />Vacation Petition as filed by Darvin A. and Miriam M. Dobbins, <br />1017 East Eckman Street, South Bend, and Ruth A. and Richard A. <br />Chapman, 1020 East Irvington, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the <br />following alley: <br />The first east/west alley North of East Eckman from <br />the east right-of-way line of South Dale Street to <br />the east right-of-way line of the first north/south <br />alley east of South Dale Street for a distance of <br />approximately 268 feet and a width of 14 feet. Part <br />located in Lindbergh Park Addition in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />I <br />1 <br />
