REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 8, 1992 <br />setting up a sidewalk cafe. In that regard, the City Attorney's <br />office has prepared the above referred to Agreement which has <br />been submitted to the Board today for approval and execution. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Agreement be approved. <br />Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following requests were referred to various City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation: <br />- TO CLOSE ADAMS, FROM LINCOLNWAY WEST TO CALIFORNIA, FOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - JULY 11 1992 <br />Mr. Jerry Wroblewski, 906 North Adams Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And <br />Blocking Of Access To Public Right -Of -Way For a Party or <br />Similar Event, requesting that Adams Street, from Lincolnway <br />West to California, be closed from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. on <br />Saturday, July 11, 1992, for a neighborhood block party. <br />- OF HEALTHY MOTHERS HEALTHY BABIES BREAST-FEEDING ISSUE <br />COMMITTEE AND LA LECHE LEAGUE OF SOUTH BEND/MISHAWAKA TO <br />CONDUCT WALK - AUGUST 1, 1992 <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Gail deSomer, 1206 Ebeling <br />Drive, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of Healthy Mothers <br />Healthy Babies Breast-feeding Issue Committee and La Leche <br />League of South Bend/Mishawaka, requested permission to <br />conduct a Walk on Saturday, August 1, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. <br />Mrs. deSomer stated that the Walk, which will utilize the <br />public sidewalks only, would begin and end at Potawatomi <br />Park. Walkers will begin at the Park, proceed west on <br />Southwood to Twyckenham, north to Jefferson, east to <br />Ironwood, south to Mishawaka Avenue, west to Greenlawn and <br />north on Greenlawn to the park. It is anticipated that fifty <br />(50) to one hundred (100) individuals will participate in the <br />walk. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE SMITH STREET, FROM OLIVE TO HUEY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted on June 1, 1992, and approval is recommended. Mr. <br />Leszczynski therefore made a motion that the request be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin Sr., Engineering Aide, Division of <br />Engineering, recommended that the Bond of Contractor for Bertha <br />Horvath be approved effective June 8, 1992 and the Bond for <br />Excavation in the Streets for Selge Construction Company, Inc., <br />be released effective June 8, 1992. Mr. Caldwell made a motion <br />that the recommendations be accepted and the bonds be approved <br />and/or released as indicated above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />1.
