SORIN STREET, WEST OF NORTH NILES AVENUE AND THE FIRST TWO (2) E/W ALLEYS SO. OF VACATED HAGERTY STREET AND THE FIRST N/S ALLEY W. OF NORTH NILES AVENUE Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board is in receipt of a Vacation Petition as filed with the Common Council by Mr. C. Brian Sauers, Esq., Barnes & Thornburg, 600 1st Source Bank Center, 100 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of Madison Center, Inc., 403 East Madison, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the following property: East Sorin Street from the west right-of-way line of N. Niles Avenue to the St. Joseph River; the first and second east -west alleys south of vacated Hagerty Street, from the west right-of-way line of N. Niles Avenue, to the east right-of-way line of the first north -south alley west of N. Niles Avenue; and the first north -south alley west of N. Niles Avenue, from the north right-of-way line of E. Sorin Street to the north right-of-way line of the first east -west alley south of vacated Hagerty Street. Parts located in Coquillard's First Addition in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Board Attorney Mary H. Meuller advised members of the Board that she has received a request from the attorney for the Petitioner asking that the Board table making its recommendation on the Vacation Petition at this time as it is the intention of Madison Center to file an amended Vacation Petition. Therefore, Mr. Sauers asked that the Board table this matter for the present. In that regard, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Board table its recommendation at this time concerning the proposed vacation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. AWARD BID - DEMOLITION - 1216 1327 AND 1327 1/2 W. WASHINGTON In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, recommended that the Board award the low bid of B & J Excavation, Inc., 1104 West Donald Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $17,998.00 for the above referred to project. It is noted that bids for this project were opened by the Board on April 27, 1992. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the bid was awarded. AWARD BID - TWO (2) SINGLE AXLE CAB AND CHASSIS Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, Department of Sanitation, advised that he has reviewed the bids received on April 20, 1992, for the above referred to trucks and at this time recommends that the
