P-W REGULAR MEETING MARCH 16, 1992 both ShelterCom and the City and will regularly consult with the South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (TRANSPO) in selecting the most desireable locations. All bus stop shelters are proposed to be erected on the public right-of-way along the street frontage and along TRANSPO routes. In exchange for the exclusive concession to build bus stop shelters in the public right-of-way, ShelterCom will pay the City a semi-annual percentage equal to five per cent (5%) of the gross receipts of ShelterCom during the preceding six (6) month period derived from advertisements placed in all bus stop shelters located on the rights -of -way. - REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a letter from Ms. Nancy Pabreza, Case Manager, Area Agency on Aging/REAL Services of St. Joseph County, Inc., 622 North Michigan Street, P.O. Box 1835, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of Ms. Mary Bailey, requesting that the parking space in front of the house at 2421 Westmoor Street be designated as a handicapped parking space. Ms. Pabreza noted that Ms. Bailey is eighty-seven (87) years old and due to severe arthritis and is unable to ambulate except with a cane. This inhibits her ability to maneuver around or between cars which park in front of her house and driveway. REQUEST OF SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AND WSBT-TV TO ADD TRIATHLON EVENTS TO 8TH ANNUAL SUNBURST MARATHON, 5K AND 10K FOOT RACES - JUNE 6, 1992 Ms. Joyce Fox, Events Coordinator, South Bend Tribune, 225 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised the Board that due to the addition of a Triathlon (swim, bike and run) to the list of Sunburst events, the sponsors of the Sunburst are asking for permission to add this event. It is noted that this event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the lake on the Campus of Notre Dame. Submitted to the Board with this request was the proposed route for this added event. APPROVE REQUEST OF FIRE DEPARTMENT TO AD OF BIDS FOR REFURBISHING ONE (1) 1983 3- CHASSIS PUMPER In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief the Board advertise for the receipt 1983 3-D 1500 G.P.M. Duplex Chassis motion that the request be approved. motion which carried. TISE FOR THE RECEIPT 5000 G.P.M. DUPLEX Luther Taylor requested that of bids to Refurbish One (1) Pumper.
