RM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 17, 1992 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: GERT'S CLOSET <br />BY: Gertrude E. Schaal <br />ADDRESS: 2709 Mishawaka Avenue <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Baby items, clothing, knick <br />knacks, miscellaneous <br />It is noted that favorable recommendations have been received <br />from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above <br />application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above license application was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has informed the Board that they have reviewed the following one <br />(1) Rubbish and Garbage license application and recommend <br />approval: <br />1. Superior Waste Systems <br />20645 West Ireland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana 46680 <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used had been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and the applicant was found <br />to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a license. <br />FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND <br />NECESSITY FOR THE OPERATION OF TAXICABS AND SETTING OF PUBLIC <br />HEARING DATE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of an <br />Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity <br />for the Operation of Taxicabs as submitted by Mr. Mark James <br />Brown, 25803 State Road 2, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Leszczynski <br />made a motion that this application be accepted for filing and <br />that pursuant to ordinance requirements, a Public Hearing on this <br />application be set for March 2, 1992. Mr. Caldwell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: Stop Sign (24x24) <br />LOCATION: Wilber and Kinyon <br />REMARKS: "T" Intersection <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />
