33 REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 10. 1992 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 1992, by Board President John E. Leszczynski,-with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and Mr. James R. Caldwell present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney Mary H. Mueller. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on February 3, 1992, were approved. OPENING OF BIDS - FERRIC CHLORIDE (BUREAU OF WASTEWATER) This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to chemical. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the following vendors have advised that they decline to bid at this time: 1. Van Waters & Rogers, Inc. 59865 Market Street South Bend, Indiana 2. PB&S Chemical Company 6471 South 50 West Columbus, IN 3. K.A. Steel Chemicals, Inc. 1001 Main Street P.O. Box 729 Lemont, IL 60439 4. Midland Resources, Inc. 706 Massachusetts, Suite 208 Lawrence, KS 66044 5. Citi-Chem, Inc. P.O. Box 1512 Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034 6. Rowell Chemical Corporation 15 Salt Creek Lane, Suite 205 Hinsdale, Illinois 60521 7. The Wecco Corporation 28 Kenton Lands Road P.O. Box 18580 Erlanger, Kentucky 41018-0310 Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller advised that the bid submitted by Eaglebrcok, Inc., 1150 Junction Avenue, Schererville, Indiana, did not contain bid security. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the bid be rejected. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. The following bids were opened and publicly read: PVS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. 10900 Harper Avenue Detroit, Michigan 48313 Bid was signed by Mr. Michael G. McGuirk, President, Non - Collusion Affidavit was in order and a ten per cent (10%) Bid Bond was submitted.
