413 <br />1 <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 25, 1993 <br />1993 to an including June 30, 1996, which is the length of the <br />state grant which the corporation received and is for the sum of <br />one dollar ($1.00). Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this <br />Agreement be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which <br />carried. Board member Mr. James R. Caldwell, abstained from <br />voting on this matter as he is a member of the Corporation. <br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT - ACCURIDE INC. <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Megan Wright, Pretreatment <br />Coordinator, Division of Environmental Services, submitted the <br />following Wastewater Discharge Permit and recommended approval: <br />1. Accuride, Inc. <br />4300 Quality Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Ms. Wright noted that this is a new permit. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Permit be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />W <br />TION -,CHAP <br />(WEST WASH <br />WASH <br />ET <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P.-Littrell, Director, <br />Division of Engineering, advised that on October 18, 1993, the <br />Board opened two (2) Quotations for sidewalk replacement near the <br />Copshalom Museum. Mr. Littrell noted that he has reviewed those <br />Quotations and found the amounts are correct as read at the Board <br />meeting. Therefore, Mr. Littrell recommended that the Board award <br />the lowest Quotation submitted by McIntyre & Jones Construction <br />Company, Inc., 2526 West Sixth Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the <br />amount of $9,495.75. The Department of Community and Economic <br />Development concurs with this recommendation. Mr. Leszczynski <br />made a motion that this recommendation be accepted and the <br />Quotation be awarded. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS DE-ICING <br />MATERIALS <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sam Hensley, Director, Division of <br />Transportation, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for the following: <br />1. <br />Sodium Chloride <br />12,000 <br />tons <br />2. <br />Calcium Chloride Sand <br />5,000 <br />tons <br />3. <br />Calcium Chloride Slag Sand <br />5,000 <br />tons <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be approved. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />REQUEST OF POTAWATOMI ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY, INC TO MAKE WALL <br />STREET ONE-WAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH ZOO BOO AND ZOOLTIDE - <br />OCTOBER 28-30 1993 AND DECEMBER 7-19 1993 <br />REQUEST OF NORTHERN INDIANA CAB DRIVERS ASSOCIATION TO <br />CONDUCT wA T.0 nomnavn no , nr <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the request of the Potawatomi <br />Zoological Society, which was submitted to the Board on October <br />11, 1993, has been reviewed by the necessary City departments and <br />bureaus and approval is recommended. <br />
