1 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 26, 1993 <br />South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the Museum <br />requests permission to close South Street, from Main to <br />Lafayette Boulevard and Lafayette Boulevard from South to <br />Monroe Street, on Sunday, August 29, 1993 from 6:00 a.m. to <br />5:00 p.m. Mr. Radecki noted that a carriage and wagon show, <br />car show and swap meet will be held on that date at the Museum. <br />The request is made to insure the safety of show visitors and <br />to give the car show room to expand. <br />TO CLOSE THE 400-500 BLOCKS OF WEST NAVARRE STREET FOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH GATHERING - AUGUST 3, 1993 <br />Ms. Sherry Anderson, 510 West Navarre Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana and Mr. Don Porter, 513 West Navarre, South Bend, <br />Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And <br />Blocking Of Access to Public Right-of-way For A Party Or <br />Similar Event, requesting that Navarre Street, from Portage <br />Avenue to Leland Avenue, be closed on Tuesday, August 3, 1993, <br />from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a neighborhood crime watch <br />gathering. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, a Certificate of Insurance for Solliday Complete <br />Landscaping & Lawncare, 2001 Clover Road, Mishawaka, Indiana, was <br />accepted for filing. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted two (2) lists containing one hundred twenty-six <br />(126) City owned and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned <br />by the Department from July 12, 1993 to July 15, 1993. Mrs. <br />Mueller made a motion that the lists as submitted be accepted for <br />filing. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount <br />of $3,409,638.82 and recommended approval. Mr. Leszczynski made a <br />motion that the claims be approved and the report as submitted be <br />filed.
