The total cost of this <br />activity shall not exceed $438,000.00. <br />Upon a motion <br />carried, the <br />executed. <br />NOTRE <br />- Vnn <br />made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />above referred to Contracts were approved and <br />19 <br />- UNIVERSITY <br />- NON -ATHLETIC EVENTS <br />Fire Chief Luther Taylor submitted to the Board two (2) Agreements <br />between the City of South Bend and the University of Notre Dame. <br />The first Agreement is to provide emergency medical services <br />during the 1993 Notre Dame home football games. The second <br />Agreement is to provide emergency medical services for the period <br />July 1, 1993 through December 31, 1993 for special events at the <br />University. <br />Chief Taylor noted that these Agreements will generate additional <br />revenue for the City as well as benefit the University of Notre <br />Dame. <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Agreements be approved and <br />executed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT - CONTROL INFORMATION AND <br />COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - PHASE I - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on <br />June 21, 1993, to Koontz -Wagner Electric Company, Inc., 3801 <br />Voorde Drive, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $1,098,137.00 <br />for the above referred to project, a Construction Agreement is <br />being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Construction <br />Agreement was approved and the appropriate Certificate of <br />Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond <br />as submitted were filed. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the following requests were referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation: <br />OF ST. Reverend McNally requested, <br />therefore, that McPherson Street, from Thomas to Napier, be <br />closed from 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 1993 through <br />Sunday, August 1, 1993, in conjunction with the festival. <br />TO CLOSE WALL STREET FROM CHESTER TO SUNNYSIDE AND TO <br />OCCUPY ISLAND FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 8 1993 <br />Mr. Terry Dickerson, 1321 Wall Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking <br />Of Access To Public Right -of -Way For A Party Or Similar <br />Event, requesting that Wall Street, from Chester to <br />Sunnyside, be closed from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, <br />August 8, 1993, for a neighborhood block party.
