1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 12, 1993 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:32 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 1993, by Board Member Mr. James R. <br />Caldwell, with Mr. Caldwell and Mrs. Mary H. Mueller present. <br />Board President John E. Leszczynski was not in attendance. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />July 6, 1993, were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS -_SALE OF EQUIPMENT: <br />SIX (6) ISCO MODEL 3210 OPEN CHANNEL FLOW METERS <br />- SIX (6) ULTRASONIC LEVEL SENSORS AND CABLES <br />- ONE (1) FIVE STATION BATTERY CHARGER <br />- INCLUDING MANUALS, COMPUTER INTERFACE CABLE, PLOTTER PAPER, <br />EXTENSION CABLE AND SOFTWARE USED WITH THESE METERS <br />It was noted that this was the date set for the receiving of bids <br />for the sale of the above referred to equipment. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of Notice of Sale of Equipment <br />which was found to be sufficient. The following bids were <br />received: <br />LAWSON-FISHER ASSOCIATES <br />525 West Washington Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Bid was submitted by Mr. John E. Fisher, Partner. <br />BID: $7,200.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the above bid was referred to the Division of <br />Environmental Services for review and recommendation. <br />Arrnuvz UMANUZ URDtH NO. 1 - MONROE PARK LANDSCAPE PROJECT <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Foegley Landscape, Inc., 52215 North <br />Lilac Road, South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 1 <br />indicating that the Contract amount be increased by $4,558.00 for <br />a new Contract sum, including this Change Order, in the amount of <br />$29,438.00. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. <br />Caldwell and carried, the Change Order was approved. <br />The following Community Development Contracts were presented to <br />the Board for approval: <br />grant funds <br />the targeted <br />total cost o <br />goal tor this activity is to provide loan and/or <br />for the rehabilitation of seventeen (17) homes in <br />West Washington -Chapin Development Area. The <br />f this activity shall not exceed $517,825.00. <br />BUREAU OF HOUSING <br />MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goals for this activity are to administer <br />housing rehabilitation programs as appropriate throughout the <br />City, provide personal financial counseling as needed for <br />housing program applicants, provide collection services for <br />outstanding loans to ensure all reasonable measures are taken <br />to protect the loan portfolio and to contract with the <br />Housing Development Corporation to act as staff to that <br />
