REGULAR MEETING <br />or Roads for the Detouring <br />is required in conjunction <br />form indicates that there <br />following: <br />JUNE 14, 1993 <br />of Traffic from a State Highway which <br />with the Ethnic Festival Parade. The <br />will be a detour of SR 23 over the <br />S.R. 23 Fellows east bound to L.W.E. ramp (U.S. 20) <br />S.R. 23 Colfax (U.S. 20) west to Main (31 South) <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that these requests be'approved as <br />recommended and the detour form be executed. Mrs. Mueller <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended <br />that the Board release the following bonds: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />1. Ronald Lindsley Effective June 14, 1993 <br />BOND FOR EXCAVATION IN STREETS <br />1. DeWulf and Son Sewer <br />Contractor Effective June 14, 1993 <br />Mrs. Mueller made a motion that these recommendations be accepted <br />and the bonds be released. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />1. Lykowski Construction, Inc. <br />21707 West Ireland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana 46614 <br />2. Ancon Construction Company, Inc. <br />2146 Elkhart road <br />P.O. Box 825 <br />Goshen, Indiana 46526 <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount <br />of $643,101.52 and recommended approval. Mr. Caldwell made a <br />motion that the claims be approved and the report as submitted be <br />filed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR: <br />REQUEST OF MORRIS PARK COUNTRY CLUB TO INSTALL A STREET LIGHT AT <br />THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF IRONWOOD AND MADISON STREETS <br />Attorney F. Gerard Feeney, 605 JMS Building, South Bend, Indiana, <br />was present on behalf of the Board of Trustees of Morris Park <br />Country Club, 2200 McKinley, South Bend, Indiana, and requested <br />that the City install a street light at the southeast corner of <br />Ironwood and Madison Streets. Mr. Feeney stated that it is the <br />Club's intention to also erect some directional signs on private <br />property. However, the location is very dark and the signs will <br />not be seen without the addition of a street light at that <br />location. Mr. Feeney further informed the Board that if the <br />street light is installed he will then present to the Board the <br />1 <br />E <br />11 <br />
