- 2 `I 6 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 7, 1993 <br />ONE (1) 1986 FORD L.T.D. <br />VIN. #1FABP3931GG171611 - MECHANICAL #202 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6(c) provides for the <br />disposal at private or public sale or transfer of personal <br />property with an estimated total value of less than one thousand <br />dollars ($1,000.00) which is unfit for the purpose for which it <br />was intended and which is no longer needed by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, an insurance settlement for the loss incurred by <br />the City due to the destruction of the above -referenced vehicle <br />has been reached by the City and the American State Insurance <br />Company, which settlement includes payment to the city of <br />$2,375.00 upon receipt of the vehicle and title to the vehicle; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, release of the title to the above -referenced <br />vehicle to American States Insurance Company is a necessary <br />condition of said settlement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend as follows: <br />1. That the above referenced vehicle has been destroyed <br />as the result of an accident, is no longer needed by <br />the City, is unfit for the purpose for which it was <br />intended and has an estimated value of less than one <br />thousand dollars ($1,000.00). <br />2. That title to said vehicle shall be released and the <br />vehicle transferred to the American States Insurance <br />Company as part of the insurance settlement reached <br />with respect to said vehicle. <br />3. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT RACES <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS: <br />ST. JOSEPH RIVER RUN <br />ST. JOSEPH'S HIGH SCHOOL WALK-A-THON <br />It was noted that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, establishing <br />policies and fees for foot races and similar events, adopted by <br />the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, Michiana Watershed, <br />Inc., St. Joseph County Chapter, has fulfilled Resolution <br />requirements to conduct the 1993 St. Joseph River Run on June 12, <br />1993, and Saint Joseph's High School has fulled Resolution <br />requirements to conduct the 1993 Walk-A-Thon on September 19, <br />1993. Therefore, the appropriate Agreements are being presented <br />to the Board at this time for these events. It is noted that on <br />March 22, 1993, the Board of Public Works approved the River Run <br />and on May 10, 1993, the St. Joseph High School Walk-A-Thon was <br />approved subject to the sponsors meeting all Resolution <br />requirements. <br />1 <br />
