2 V 3 REGULAR MEETING MAY 24, 1993 TO CLOSE HUEY STREET, FROM ORANGE STREET, TO LINDEN STREET FOR BLOCK PARTY/GRADUATION PARTY - JUNE 13, 1993 TO CLOSE HAWTHORNE DRIVE, FROM COLFAX TO WASHINGTON, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - AUGUST 21, 1993 OF SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH TO CONDUCT WALK - MAY 31, 1993 OF ST. MATTHEW SCHOOL TO CLOSE DAYTON STREET, FROM MIAMITO,DALE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH OLYMPIC DAY ACTIVITIES - MAY 28, 1993 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the above referred to requests have been reviewed by the appropriate City departments and bureaus and approval is recommended. It is noted that the requests were submitted to the Board on May 10, 1993, May 17, 1993, and May 24, 1993. It was further noted that the request of St. Matthew School to close Dayton Street, from Miami Street to Dale Street, from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 1993, was not previously submitted to the Board but has been reviewed by the appropriate City department and bureaus and is recommended for approval. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the requests be approved subject to the request to close Huey Street being modified to reflect a 10:00 a.m. ending time. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CONTRACTORS BONDS Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended that the Bond of Contractor for S & S Siding Applicators, Inc., be approved effective May 24, 1993. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the Bond be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL LICENSE APPLICATION Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service license application has been received: 1. Charles J. Hagye, II 1323 East Dayton Street South Bend, Indiana It was noted that an inspection of the truck to be used has been conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and the applicant was found to be in compliance. Additionally, the Department of Code Enforcement has reviewed this application and recommends approval. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the application be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CARNIVAL AND CIRCUS LICENSE APPLICATION Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Board is in receipt of a Carnival/Circus license application as submitted by Potawatomi Zoological Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1764, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct a circus at the Potawatomi Zoo from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 m from Jun 2-6 1993 e Its p. . s noted that the traveling company that will conduct this circus is Eberlee Amusements, 270 Washington Avenue, Peru, Indiana. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that this license application be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
