1 I 1 REGULAR MEETING MAY 17, 1993 No. 572 1986 Ford Heil 5000 $ 11,500.00 No. 573 1986 Ford Heil 5000 $ 11,500.00 No. 576 1984 Ford Heil 4000 $ 5,000.00 TOTAL: $ 46,500.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of Sanitation for review and recommendation. APPROVE UNIFORM RENTAL CONTRACT Mr. Caldwell advised that in conjunction with the bid awarded on April 12, 1993, to Aratex Services, Inc., 3701 Progress Drive, South Bend, Indiana, for the rental of uniforms for various City departments and bureaus, the appropriate Contract is being submitted to the Board for approval and execution. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Contract be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE NO. 1 TO - TRIAD INC. Mr. Jack Dillon, Director, Division of Environmental Services, submitted to the Board Amendment No. 1 to the Engineering Services Contract which the Board of Public Works approved on January 18, 1993. Mr. Dillon noted that this Amendment concerns improvements to the City's septage receiving and scum handling processes. The increase in the Contact of $24,490.00 is due to changes in the design and addition of bidding and construction phases. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that this Amendment be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. AGREEMENT USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT AND SIMILAR EVENTS - CROP WALK - SEPTEMBER 26, 1993 Mr. Caldwell stated that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, the United Religious Community of St. Joseph County, has fulfilled Resolution requirements to conduct the 1993 CROP Walk on Sunday, September 26, 1993, and the appropriate Agreement is being presented to the Board at this time. It is noted that on March 8, 1993, the Board of Public Works approved the date for this event subject to the sponsor meeting all Resolution requirements. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. Marciniak advised the Board award the low bid of State Road 23, Granger, and equipment as follows: $419.00 $ 29.00 $ 9.00 Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
