1 <br />I <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 17, 1993 <br />No. 572 1986 Ford Heil 5000 <br />$ <br />11,500.00 <br />No. 573 1986 Ford Heil 5000 <br />$ <br />11,500.00 <br />No. 576 1984 Ford Heil 4000 <br />$ <br />5,000.00 <br />TOTAL: <br />$ <br />46,500.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of <br />Sanitation for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE UNIFORM RENTAL CONTRACT <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that in conjunction with the bid awarded on <br />April 12, 1993, to Aratex Services, Inc., 3701 Progress Drive, <br />South Bend, Indiana, for the rental of uniforms for various City <br />departments and bureaus, the appropriate Contract is being <br />submitted to the Board for approval and execution. Mrs. Mueller <br />made a motion that the Contract be approved. Mr. Caldwell <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE <br />NO. 1 TO <br />- TRIAD <br />INC. <br />Mr. Jack Dillon, Director, Division of Environmental Services, <br />submitted to the Board Amendment No. 1 to the Engineering Services <br />Contract which the Board of Public Works approved on January 18, <br />1993. <br />Mr. Dillon noted that this Amendment concerns improvements to the <br />City's septage receiving and scum handling processes. The <br />increase in the Contact of $24,490.00 is due to changes in the <br />design and addition of bidding and construction phases. Mrs. <br />Mueller made a motion that this Amendment be approved. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />AGREEMENT <br />USE OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FOOT <br />AND SIMILAR EVENTS - CROP WALK - SEPTEMBER 26, 1993 <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that pursuant to Resolution No. 9-1985, <br />establishing policies and fees for foot races and similar events, <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works on March 4, 1985, the United <br />Religious Community of St. Joseph County, has fulfilled Resolution <br />requirements to conduct the 1993 CROP Walk on Sunday, September <br />26, 1993, and the appropriate Agreement is being presented to the <br />Board at this time. It is noted that on March 8, 1993, the Board <br />of Public Works approved the date for this event subject to the <br />sponsor meeting all Resolution requirements. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />AWARD BID - TWENTY-S <br />FOR FREQ <br />In a let <br />that the <br />Shearer <br />Indiana, <br />MORE OR LESS <br />UENCIES OF 403-512 Mhz BAND <br />ter to the Board, Police Ch <br />Department recommends that <br />Communications, Inc., 15037 <br />for twenty-six (26) radios <br />Motorola Radius GM 300 <br />Options: <br />External Speaker <br />Ignition Sense <br />BILE RADIOS <br />of Ronald G. Marciniak advised <br />the Board award the low bid of <br />State Road 23, Granger, <br />and equipment as follows: <br />$419.00 <br />$ 29.00 <br />$ 9.00 <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this recommendation be accepted <br />and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />
