Nickelson, President. <br />PROPOSAL: <br />Michiana Audit Service, Inc., proposed a collection rate <br />of twenty-two per cent (22%) straight. In the event <br />that an account would be uncollectible, i.e, skip or a <br />necessity to pursue via the courts or a refusal to pay, <br />they will transfer the account to Midwest Collection <br />Services, Inc., who will work the accounts at a fifty <br />per cent (50%) collection rate. <br />CREDIT BUREAU OF SOUTH BEND-MISHAWAKA <br />312 West Colfax Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46634 <br />Proposal was submitted by Mr. Steve C. VanderMolen, Marketing <br />Manager. <br />PROPOSAL: <br />Commission Fees: <br />First Placements: Thirty per cent (30%) <br />Legals Fifty per cent (50%) <br />All collections are done on a contingency fee basis (no <br />collection - no charge) <br />Pre -Collection Fees - a per letter fee of $1.50 includes <br />postage, handling and tape processing. The letter can <br />be from CBC Credit Services or Credit Bureau of South <br />Bend. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the above outlined Proposals were referred to the <br />Fire Department for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE EASEMENT - INDIANA MICHIGAN POWER COMPANY <br />Mr. James Riggs, Department of Economic Development, advised that <br />the Department would like the Board of Public Works to convey and <br />warrant to Indiana Michigan Power Company an Easement for the <br />purposes of constructing one (1) overhead power line. The land <br />subject of this Easement is right-of-way transferred by the <br />Indiana Department of Transportation to the City of South Bend on <br />January 6, 1993.
