IGU <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />MARCH 29, 1993 <br />HANDICAP PARKING SPACE <br />1302 North College Street <br />Mr. Albert Wright has met all the <br />requirements. <br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller informed members of the <br />Board that residents of Esther Street and Hildreth Street were <br />informed that towing from the.Restricted Residential Parking Zones <br />on those streets would be effective March.l, 1993. Letters are <br />currently being prepared to be sent to residents of all the other <br />Restricted Residential Parking Zones in the City advising them <br />that all unauthorized vehicles will be towed from those zones <br />beginning May 1, 1993. <br />Mr. Caldwell inquired if the businesses, schools, etc. in the <br />areas would also be notified that towing will begin. Mrs. Mueller <br />indicated that advising those entities was not anticipated but <br />that it is a good idea and she will make sure the hospitals, <br />schools or businesses in the vicinity of the restricted <br />residential zones are also notified of the upcoming towing <br />of unauthorized vehicles. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted two (2) lists containing twenty-six (26) City -owned <br />and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned by the Department <br />from March 15-16, 1993. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the lists <br />as submitted be accepted for filing. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin C. Horton, City Controller, submitted to the Board <br />claims in the amount of $565,249.48 and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, WDS of <br />Northern Indiana, submitted one hundred sixty-eight (168) claims <br />totalling $56,899.69 and recommended approval. Therefore, Mr. <br />Caldwell made a motion that the claims be approved as submitted. <br />Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />Mrs. Mueller informed members of the Board that the Board <br />governing WDS of Northern Indiana, meets once a month, or less, <br />and that is why the Board of Public Works has been designated to <br />approve their claims which includes their payroll. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
