REGULAR MEETING MARCH 22, 1993 ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 13-1993 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY INDIANA Mr. Larry Magliozzi, Department of Economic Development, informed members of the Board that the City took advantage of some County owned property which was going to be sold. The County Commissioners have conveyed to the City of South Bend thirty-six (36) parcels of property. Mr. Magliozzi noted that eight (8) parcels are located in the West Washington area, four (4) in the northeast, and the remaining twenty-four (24) in the southeast. All of the lots are located within redevelopment project areas. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Resolution which has been prepared be adopted. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution No. 13-1993 was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 13-1993 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIA WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana, (hereinafter, the "County") is the owner of various parcels of land within the City of South Bend, which were obtained by the County pursuant to the tax sale process; and WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of County real estate is vested in the County's Board of Commissioners pursuant to I.C. 36-2-3.5-4; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter, the "City") desires to obtain ownership of 36 such parcels of property for community and economic development purposes, which parcels are described more particularly as follows: Key Number Address Legal 18-2023-0724 2211 Washington Lot 46 in Arnolds 2nd Addition to the City of South Bend 18-3051-1974 711 Wayne 42.5 feet of the West side of 142.5 foot of the East side of Lot 3 and 3 foot of the West side 120 foot East end of Lot 3 of Huston's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 72 to the City of South Bend 18-3051-1979 234 Chapin Lot 12 of Huston's Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 72 to the City of South Bend, excepting the Southerly 3.5 foot 18-3069-2688 1017 Napier The East 1/2 of Lot 5 of Deardorfs Subdivision of Bank Out Lot 90 18-3074-2948 334 S. Walnut 63 foot of the West side of Lot 70 of Commissioners Subdivision of Bank Out Lots 85 and 86 of the City of South Bend 18-3075-2993 111 Walnut Lot 6 of John C.
