<br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 8, 1993
<br />bidder, Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., 1005 South Lafayette Boulevard,
<br />Box 1106, South Bend, Indiana, agreed to hold its bid open to allow
<br />award and construction this Spring.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Littrell recommended that the Board award the low bid
<br />of Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., in the amount of $61,201.00.
<br />The Department of Sanitation concurs with this recommendation.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion
<br />which carried.
<br />APPROVE REOUESTS:
<br />OF UNITED RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY TO CONDUCT 1993 CROP WALK -
<br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1993
<br />OF IRMSCHER & SONS, INC. TO OCCUPY PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AROUND
<br />MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN CONJUNCTION WITH CONSTRUCTION
<br />OF NAVARRE STREET PARKING STRUCTURE
<br />OF MADISON CENTER TO CONDUCT WALK - APRIL 18, 1993
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the above referred to requests, which were
<br />submitted to the Board on January 25, 1993 and February 22, 1993, have
<br />been reviewed by the appropriate City departments and bureaus and
<br />approval is recommended.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the request of the United
<br />Religious Community be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion
<br />which carried.
<br />Additionally, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the request of Irmscher
<br />& Sons be approved subject to the applicant providing a bond in the
<br />amount of $20,000.00 plus the usual required liability coverage. Mr.
<br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />Finally, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the request of Madison Center
<br />to conduct a Walk be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which
<br />carried.
<br />REQUESTS REFERRED:
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and
<br />carried, the following requests were referred to the appropriate City
<br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation:

<br />Ms. Nicole S. Brenner, 111 East Navarre, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And Blocking Of
<br />Access To Public Right -of -Way For A Party Or Similar Event,
<br />requesting that St. Joseph Street, from Marion to Navarre, be
<br />closed from 9:00 a.m, to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 1993,
<br />for a St. Patrick's Day Neighborhood Block Party.
<br />- OF MICHIANA WATERSHED, INC., TO CONDUCT 1993 RIVER RUN -
<br />JUNE 12, 1993
<br />Mrs. Nancy Mah, Administrative Assistant, Michiana Watershed,
<br />Inc., St. Joseph County Chapter, P.O. Box 1284, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 1993 St. Joseph
