fv D�U REGULAR MEETING MARCH 1, 1993 Board re -advertise for bids for the construction of the above project. This will be a re -bid of the project which has been appreciably revised to seek bids within the budget constraints and to also better serve as a maintenance facility for the Blackthorn Golf Course. It is also noted that the appropriate Title Sheet for this project was submitted to the Board for execution. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the bids received on August 31, 1992, for this project be rejected, that the request to re -advertise for the receipt of bids be approved and that the Title Sheet for this project be approved and executed. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SUPPORT - NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS - DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a Agreement for Staff Support between the Neighborhood Business Development Corporation, Inc., and the City of South Bend through the Board of Public Works on behalf of the Department of Economic Development. It is noted that under the terms of this Agreement, the City shall provide staff support to NBDC and shall be compensated the amount of $10,000.00. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Agreement be approved and executed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS Mr. Leszczynski stated that the following Community Development Contract has been submitted for Board approval: SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION WEST WASHINGTON ACQUISITION/REHAB/RENTAL-RESALE The targeted goals for this Contract are to acquire the vacant single family dwelling located at 1126 West Jefferson Boulevard, to rehabilitate the property to standard occupiable condition and to offer the property for sale or lease by a low/moderate income household. The total cost of this activity shall not exceed $66,000.00. Ms. Marsha Townsend, Department of Economic Development, informed members of the Board that this Contract will utilize 1991 funds. She noted that this project has been in the process for some time. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Contract be approved and executed. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. Additionally, the following Community Development Contracts, utilizing 1993 funds, have been submitted to the Board for approval: SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION - ADMINISTRATION The targeted goals for this activity are to provide administrative and service support for neighborhood housing programs within the Near West Side neighborhood and to provide assistance for commercial and social service development in the West Washington -Chapin neighborhood. The total cost of this activity shall not exceed $45,000.00. DIVISION OF PLANNING AND NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM The targeted goal for this activity is to provide for construction, reconstruction, or rehabilitation of public facilities and improvements, including, but not limited to improvements such as curbs, curb cuts, sidewalks, street lighting, alley improvements, and tree trimming on tree lawns.
