Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. <br />Caldwell and carried, the above bids were awarded as recommended. <br />REQUEST OF MADISON CENTER TO CONDUCT WALK - APRIL 18, 1993 - <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Michelle Jacquay, Public Relations <br />Coordinator, Madison Center, 403 East Madison Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, advised that Madison Center is preparing for the 10th <br />Birthday celebration of their Little Bear Program. As part of the <br />celebration, Madison Center and St. Joseph Medical Center would <br />like to host a Walk on April 18, 1993, beginning at 1:30 p.m. <br />Submitted with the request was the route to be utilized for this <br />event. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request.be referred <br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF IRMSCHER & SONS, INC. TO OCCUPY SIDEWALK AROUND MEMORIAL <br />HOSPITAL IN CONJUNCTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING STRUCTURE <br />Mr. Roger Knaggs, Project Manager, Irmscher & Sons, Inc., 1025 <br />Osage Street, P.O. Box 11078, Fort Wayne, Indiana, advised that <br />they are the construction manager for the Memorial Hospital of <br />South Bend Navarre Street Parking Structure. In this regard, Mr. <br />Knaggs requested permission to close and fence the sidewalk around <br />the perimeter of the hospital on Navarre, Lafayette Boulevard, the <br />east/west alley and the first alley north of Navarre Street, for a <br />period of one (1) year beginning March, 1993. Mr. Leszczynski made <br />a motion that this request be referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. <br />Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Mr. Larry Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended that <br />the following bonds be approved: <br />Jerry W.
